Method
  1. Put the pan in low flame pour 1 tsp oil in the pan.
  2. Add kadalai parippu, red chilli and fry it until kadali paripupu becomes light brown. Put it aside.
  3. In empty pan put gongura leaves and fry.
  4. After take the mixe put the kadalai paprupu, fried red chiili and gongura leaves with tamarind and grind to paste.
  5. After grinding pour the oil in the pan and put mustard seeds and some salt as required.
  6. Keep on slow flame until oil comes out.

Note: This thokku can be used with dosa, idly, puri and can be mixed in the rice with ghee.

Ingredients:
Gongura leaves - 1 cup
Kadalai paruppu - 1 cup
Tamarind - a small piece
Red chilli - 1
Sesame oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
