Method
For stuffing (saran):
  1. Mix grated coconut and jaggery and cook on slow flame till it becomes dry.
  2. Add cardamom powder and keep aside.

For covering (ukad):

  1. Boil water in a non-stick pan, add ghee, salt, rice flour.
  2. Mix well. Cover the pan with a lid for 5 minutes.
  3. Move the dough to a plate and tighten as for chappati dough.
  4. Take some dough, shape it like a bowl.
  5. Stuff coconut mixture in it.
  6. Cover it and shape like modaks.
  7. Steam all modaks for 10 minutes like idli.
  8. Serve hot with desi ghee.
Ingredients:
1 bowl - rice flour
2 bowls - fresh, grated coconut
1/2 bowl - jaggery
2 pinches - cardamom powder
1 bowl - water
1 tsp - ghee
1 pinch - salt
