Method
- Boil the chana dal.
- Powder the jaggery and mix it into the boiled and cooked chana dal and cook for a few more mins.
- Make into medium-sized (golf) balls and set aside.
- Mix the wheat flour with water and roll out the chappatis.
- Put one ball of the chana dal mix between two chappatis and flatten out. Then roll into a medium sized disc, slightly larger than puris.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry lightly. Serve when cool.

1 cup chana dal
2&1/2 cups jaggery
1 cup wheat flour (atta)
1/4 cup water
2 cups oil for frying
