Method
  1. Boil the chana dal.
  2. Powder the jaggery and mix it into the boiled and cooked chana dal and cook for a few more mins.
  3. Make into medium-sized (golf) balls and set aside.
  4. Mix the wheat flour with water and roll out the chappatis.
  5. Put one ball of the chana dal mix between two chappatis and flatten out. Then roll into a medium sized disc, slightly larger than puris.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry lightly. Serve when cool.
Ingredients:
1 cup chana dal
2&1/2 cups jaggery
1 cup wheat flour (atta)
1/4 cup water
2 cups oil for frying
