Method- Grind the soaked dried figs to a paste. Keep aside.
- Now roast the ricotta cheese on a low flame till all the moisture is evaporated.
- Add ground figs to the ricotta cheese mixture till both are amalgated and all the moisture is absorbed.
- Now once again add the above mixture in to grinder to a smooth paste.
- Now add powdered sugar free or powdered sugar in the mixture and keep roasting on a low flame.
- Add cardamom powder to the above mixture.
- Add slowly and gradually the cashewnut powder till a dough like consitency is formed.
- Form balls of the above mixture and put the mixture into greased modak moulds.
- Granish the modak with silver varak.
- Refrigerate for an hour and serve.

1 cup - cashewnuts powder
1/2 cup - sugar free (powder form) or powdered sugar
2 pinches - cardamom powder

1 cup - ricotta cheese or khoya
1 pinch - red colour (optional)
