Method
- Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a heavy saucepan.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Add ground coconut and stir continuously until most of the water has evaporated.
- Gradually add ghee and continue to stir until the mixture separates from the pan.
- Add cardamom powder. Stir.
- Pour into greased pan and level the top with a spatula.
- While still warm, cut into pieces.
- Allow the barfi to cool before serving.

2 cups - finely ground fresh coconut
2 cups - sugar
� cup - water
4 tbsps - ghee
1 tsp - cardamom powder
