Easy Pressure Cooker Wheat Halwa

Method
  1. Soak wheat rawa in plenty of water for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Grind in the mixie and extract the milk.
  3. Do this 3 to 4 times adding fresh water every time. (4 to 5 cups)
  4. Allow the extracted water to settle for atleast 8 hours in a tall vessel, undisturbed.
  5. Then remove the top water and scum.
  6. Now for every cup of the settled milk add 11/2 cups of sugar.
  7. Mix very well, add little kesar colour .
  8. Pressurise it in a vessel inside a pressure cooker .
  9. Put the weight and cook with weight.
  10. After 1st whistle comes, sim the stove and cook for 45 mins.
  11. Open after pressure drops and beat thoroughly with a hand blender (If you don�t have one use a wooden spatula).
  12. The mixture should become uniform without even a small lump.
  13. In a nonstick pan add ghee, chopped nuts and then halwa and flavourings.
  14. Stir till it becomes a mass. Remove, cool , spread and level.
  15. This traditional sweet which is a great favourite can be made easily, with very little ghee.
Ingredients:
samba wheat rava used for upma called lapsi - 1 cup (150 gms)
ghee - � cup
chopped nuts - 50 gms
cardamom powder - 1 tsp
saffron ( warm and powder ) - � tsp
sugar to taste
