Dates, apricot, aam papad and jaggery relish
Method-
Heat 200 ml water and add the whole spices.Boil the spices in the water for 2-3 min.

Reduce the heat and mix in the date (cut into halves), apricots also cut into halve and the aam papad pieces. Continue to boil on low heat for at least 7-8 mins.

The dates should retain their shape but feel tender to touch. Add the chilli powder and the jaggery (broken to small pieces).

Stir till the jiggery melts and add the sugar. Stir and cook till the desired consistency is reached.

200 gms dates – seedless
100 gms apricots
100 gms aam papad cut into small pieces
150 gm jaggery
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 bay leaf
1 inch piece cinnamon
1/2 a star anise
2 cardamoms
