Method

  1. Grind cashewnuts to a paste.

  2. Mix together cashewnuts, sugar and cardamoms.

  3. Keep over a slow fire and cook stirring frequently till the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the vessel. Put in a lightly greased thali.

  4. Level the surface, cover with silver wrap.

  5. Cut into pieces when cold.

Method For Sabzi Handi

  1. Boil the vegetables separately.

  2. Grind the cashewnuts to a paste.

  3. Saute the cuminseeds and garlic.

  4. Add the chilli powder and cook.

  5. Add the cashewnut paste and stir.

  6. Add the vegetables, salt, garam masala and cook for a few mintues. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Ingredients:
500 gms cashewnuts
500 gms sugar
1 tsp. coarsely powdered cardamoms seeds
1 tsp. essence of rose
