Method
  1. Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt.
  2. Add � a cup of syrup from the peaches. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring continuously.
  3. Add butter, grated lemon peel, lemon juice, almond essence and the peaches.
  4. Line the pie plate with 9� pastry shell. Pour the mixture into it.
  5. Moisten edges and top with lattice crust.
  6. Flute the edges ad bake in a hot oven 180� for 45 mins.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp - all purpose flour
1/2 cup - sugar
1 can - sliced peaches
2 tbsp - butter/margarine
2 tbsp - lemon juice
1/2 tsp - nutmeg
1/2 tsp - grated lemon peel
1/2 tsp - almond essence
a pinch - salt
9� - pastry shell
