Method
- Grease a flat microwaveble bowl by using a little butter or ghee.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp breadcrumbs over it instead of flour.
- Soak dates in warm orange juice for half an hour.
- Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt in a mixy. Keep aside.
- Put all other ingredients (except almonds) in a mixy and make a fine paste.
- Add flour gradually along with 2-3 tsp milk.
- Pour the batter in the bowl and microwave it for 5-6 min.
- Let it stand in the microwave for a couple of min.
- Insert a clean knife in the the center. If it comes out clean, then cake is ready.
- Otherwise, microwave it for a minute or 30 sec.
Note :
Normally, if the cake is baked in the microwave, it remains white.
But this cake has brownish colour because of dates,whole wheat.
So even if it does not have crust it becomes fluffy, tasty at the same time nutritious.
