Cabbage and dal crumble (Cabbage usili)

Method
  1. Make a coarse paste of drained dals, red chillies, hing and salt (you can grind the curry leaves if you do not like it whole)
  2. steam this paste, once cooled, crumble it (sometimes the dal cannot be completely crumbled, you can grind it in a mixie)
  3. In a pan, take oil and splutter mustard seeds
  4. Add the curry leaves and the turmeric powder
  5. Add the cabbage, salt, cover and cook till done
  6. Add the crumble and mix well and saute for 15-20 mins in sim flame.
Ingredients:
Cabbage chopped - 1 cup
Tur dal (red gram dal) soaked in water for 1 hour and drain the water completely - 1/4 cup
Chana dal soaked in water for 1 hour and drain the water completely - 1/4 cup
Red chillies - 5-6
Curry leaves - 10
Salt to taste
Hing - 1 tsp
Oil - 3 tbsps
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
