Fried Stuffed Green Chillies

Method
  1. Slit the green chillies from one side and remove seeds.
  2. Apply salt and keep aside.
  3. Mix the ingredients for the batter and keep aside.
  4. To make the filling, heat oil and fry onion till it is transparent.
  5. Add ginger and fry for another minute.
  6. Add potatoes, coriander, haldi, amchur and salt and cook for one more minute.
  7. Remove from fire, add lemon juice and mix well.
  8. Wash and wipe the chillies and then stuff the filling.
  9. Dip chillies in the batter one by one and deep fry in hot oil till they are golden.
  10. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
Ingredients:
250 gms. large size green chillies
salt to sprinkle
oil to deep fry

For the filling:
250 gms. boiled potatoes (mashed)
1 medium-sized onion (chopped)
1 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. ginger (chopped)
1 tbsp. coriander leaves (chopped)
1 tsp. amchur
¼ tsp. haldi powder
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Salt to taste

For batter:
1 ½ cups maida
½ cup cornflour
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. coriander leaves (chopped)
chaat masala to sprinkle after frying
