Onion tomato chutney

Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Cut the onion into small pieces (no need to cut into very small pieces).
  3. When the oil becomes hot, put the onions into it and fry.
  4. Saute till the onion becomes golden brown.
  5. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  6. Put the tomato cut into pieces into the pan and fry till the raw smell of the tomato is gone.
  7. Add salt. Do not add water.
  8. Remove from fire and let it cool.
  9. Put the fried onion and tomatoes into a mixer when it cools down.
  10. Add the grated coconut and grind into a paste. Onion tomato chutney is ready. You can use this with dosa.
Ingredients:
Onion - 3 medium
Tomatoes - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut - 3 tbsp
Coconut oil - for frying
Salt to taste
