Moong Dal and Green Mango Kosumbari

Method
  1. Soak the moong dal in water for one hour.
  2. Drain and mix with mango, carrot, green chilies, salt, and coriander leaves and grated coconut.
  3. Heat oil for seasoning in a small fry pan. Add mustard seeds.
  4. When they splutter, add asafetida and curry leaves.
  5. Add the seasoning to the kosumbari and mix well.

Serves:4 to 6

Ingredients:
1 cup - green gram (moong) dal (without peel)
1/2 cup - sour green mango, chopped fine (do not peel)
1/2 cup - carrot, chopped fine
1/2 cup - grated coconut
1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
2 - green chilies, chopped
salt to taste

For Seasoning:
1 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - mustard seeds
1/2 tsp - asafetida powder
few curry leaves
