Kela Raita (Yoghurt with Bananas)

Method
  1. Slice the bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  2. Roast cumin seeds in a dry pan, shaking or stirring constantly until brown.
  3. Crush or grind.
  4. Combine the yoghurt with all the ingredients except the banana.
  5. If dessicated coconut is used, moisten it first by sprinkling with about 2 tablespoons water and tossing it with the fingers until it is no longer dry.
  6. Fold banana into yoghurt mixture.
  7. Chill and serve.
Ingredients:
4 - large ripe bananas
1 cup - yoghurt
2 tsp - sugar
1 tsp - cumin seeds
3 tbsp - freshly grated or dessicated coconut
½ tsp - salt
lemon juice
