Walnut Apple Rice

Method
  1. In a large saucepan, saute onion and celery in butter for 3-4 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add the water, cider, salt and cinnamon; bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in the rice, apple and walnuts.
  4. Cover and remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff with a fork.

1 - red apple, chopped
1/2 cup - chopped walnuts
1 cup - apple cider or apple juice
1 - small onion, chopped
1 - celery rib, chopped
2 tbsp - butter, softened
1 cup - water
1 tsp - salt
1/2 tsp - ground cinnamon
2 cups - uncooked instant rice
