Chana dal toast

Method
  1. Soak dal for 3 hours and grind finely with green chilli, turmeric, chilli powder, amchur, asafoetida, ginger and salt. Add very finely chopped onion, coriander leaves and soda bicarb.
  2. Mix well and put a thin layer of the mixture over each slice of bread.
  3. Fry till golden brown and puffy.
  4. Serve with ketchup or any chutney.
Ingredients:
6 slices bread
1 onion
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. amchur
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1/4 tsp. asafoetida
1 tsp. ground ginger
Salt to taste
3/4 cup chana dal
1 green chilli
1/2 tsp. chilli powder
1/2 cup coriander leaves (cleaned and chopped)
A pinch of soda bicarb
Oil for frying
