Chelsea Buns

Method
  1. Sieve flour and salt in a warm basin.
  2. Mix yeast with warm milk and one tsp. of sugar. Rub in butter.
  3. Mix sieved ingredients with yeast mixture and beat with egg beater.
  4. Put into a warm basin and allow to remain until the dough doubles itself.
  5. Knead lightly on a board.
  6. Roll out into a rectangle.
  7. Brush with melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle sugar and chopped raisins.
  9. Roll like a swiss roll.
  10. Now cut the roll into 1 1/2 inch pieces.
  11. Place cut side up and close together while placing on a baking tray. Prove for 20 mins.
  12. Bake at 230°C for 20 mins.
  13. When cold, you may ice with glace icing.
Ingredients:
225 g - refined flour
40 g - butter
50 g - raisins
150 ml - milk
15 g - sugar
1 tsp - dried yeast
