Method-
Heat the ghee in a karahi. Add the dates and stir over a medium flame. Keep pressing the dates with a heavy ladle.

Once the dates are mixed well (this should take just a few minutes), add the cashewnuts and continue stirring.

Take the mixture off the fire after a few minutes and when cool enough to handle, shape into sausage like rolls.

Sprinkle dessicated coconut on the roll, slice and serve.

If you use ordinary dates, add 1 tbsp. Condensed milk to the dates.

250 gms. black dates, deseeded and finely chopped
50 gms. cashewnuts, finely chopped
50 gms. dessicated coconut
1 tbsp. ghee or butter
