Method
- Quarter the polis. Over a large bowl, tear them into shreds, then crush, using your fingers and palms, into a fine powder (or use a blender).
- If you like more texture, leave the polis in very small pieces instead.
- Add the ghee and mix well. Crush the jaggery into the polis till well combined. Add the peanuts or sesame seeds.
- Form the mixture into a bowl, by pressing it into your palms and shaping it with the other.
- You may need more jaggery or ghee to bind the ladoos.
- Add as much as seems necessary.
- Shape all the mixture into ladoos, 1 � inches in diameter.

4 to 6 - polis
� cup - grated or softened jaggery
2 tbsp - clarified butter
a few - peanuts or sesame seeds (optional)
