Cheese and potato spread

  1. Chop onion and tomato finely.
  2. Heat oil/butter in a sauce pan. Add onion.
  3. Saute till transparent.
  4. Add tomato. Saute till oil seperates.
  5. Add carrot. saute for a minute.
  6. Mash the potato and add it to the pan.
  7. Add red chilli powder, black pepper powder.
  8. Add cheese cubes. Melt on a low flame.
  9. Turn off the gas and add cucumber.
  10. This spread gets very thick once cooled.
  11. Whenever you want to use it; add some youghurt to make it smooth so that it can be spread easily.
  12. You can also add sliced mushrooms, finely chopped capsicum or boiled and shredded chicken to this recipe.
  13. Can be used both as a sandwich spread or a dip.
4-5 cubes cheddar cheese
1 small potato
1 small tomato
1 tbsp grated carrot
1 tbsp grated cucumber
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
3- 4 tbsp yoghurt
1-2 tbsp oil/butter
