Method
- Chop onion and tomato finely.
- Heat oil/butter in a sauce pan. Add onion.
- Saute till transparent.
- Add tomato. Saute till oil seperates.
- Add carrot. saute for a minute.
- Mash the potato and add it to the pan.
- Add red chilli powder, black pepper powder.
- Add cheese cubes. Melt on a low flame.
- Turn off the gas and add cucumber.
- This spread gets very thick once cooled.
- Whenever you want to use it; add some youghurt to make it smooth so that it can be spread easily.
- You can also add sliced mushrooms, finely chopped capsicum or boiled and shredded chicken to this recipe.
- Can be used both as a sandwich spread or a dip.
Ingredients:
4-5 cubes cheddar cheese
1 small potato
1 small tomato
1 tbsp grated carrot
1 tbsp grated cucumber
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
3- 4 tbsp yoghurt
1-2 tbsp oil/butter
