Method
Wash and soak the dal for 30-40 minutes.
Keep the dal to boil adding 3 cups water and turmeric powder.
Give it a boil.
After the dal starts boiling simmer the gas and cook till the dal softens.
Add salt to taste.
Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove from fire.
Churn the dal to a smooth consistency.
Heat ghee in a ladle, add cumin seeds when the seeds splutter add this tempering to the dal and mix well.
To Serve:
sprinkle red chilli powder and amchur powder on the dal.
Garnish with coriander leaves.

1 � cups - yellow moong dal
3 cups - water
� tsp - turmeric powder
