Fried Idlis in Gravy

Method
  1. Cut the idlis into small cubes and deep fry in oil.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai.
  3. Add mustard and when it splutters, add turmeric powder, asafetida.
  4. Saute the onions.
  5. Add the tomatoes.
  6. Add chilli powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the fried idlis and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
Ingredients:
4 - idli
1 cup - finely sliced onion
1 cup - finely sliced tomato
� cup - peas, boiled
1 tsp - chilli powder
1 tbsp - tomato sauce
1 tsp - mustard
a pinch - turmeric
a pinch - asafetida
salt to taste
oil to fry
