Method

  1. Wash and cut tomatoes.
  2. In a bowl, mix cut tomatoes, garlic, pepper corns, coconut and green chillies.

  3. Cook the tomato with all the things mentioned above in pressure cooker just like dal.

  4. Once the tomato is cooked, blend it in the blender.

  5. In a heavy pan, add ghee or butter.
  6. Once the ghee is hot, add mustard seeds, jeera seeds, hing and curry leaves.

  7. After the mustard seeds starts sputtering, add the blended tomato puree.

  8. Add fresh coriander leaves, salt and sugar according to taste.

  9. Eat hot with rice.

Note: Some people add coconut milk to the above recipe. If you are planning to use coconut milk, then do not put coconut when you are cooking the tomatoes.

Serves: 4 people.

Ingredients:
4 medium sized Tomatoes
2 small green chillies
4 pepper corns
3 to 4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. Coconut
Curry leaves 4 to 5 leaves
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. jeera seeds
