  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly in running water.
  2. Before cutting it into half, place it on a flat surface and roll it with your palm.
  3. This will help it to loosen up and yield more juice.
  4. Cut the lemons and squeeze the juice.
  5. Strain and discard the seeds. Measure.
  6. Ensure that you have exactly 1 cup of lemon juice.
  7. In a separate sauce pan boil water.
  8. When the water starts to roll, remove from heat and add sugar. Stir it well.
  9. The water will look cloudy. That`s ok.
  10. Keep stirring for a while.
  11. Allow it to cool.
  12. Then add lemon juice, stir it well.
  13. The basic lemonade syrup is ready.
