Date and Carrot Halwa

Method
  1. Chop dates finely. Peel and grate carrots.Add milk to dates and cook in athick bottomed vessel.
  2. After 5minutes, add carrots. Simmer till almost all the milk is absorbed.
  3. Add condensed. Milk. Reserve 2 Tbsp of ghee and add the rset to the date and carrot mixture.
  4. Cook stirring till the mixture forms a soft lump.
  5. Fry cashew nuts and raisins in reserved ghee and add to the halwa.
  6. Add grated nutmeg. Serve hot or cold.

Serves: 8 to 10

Ingredients:
dates - 250 g
carrot - 1 kg
milk - 500 ml
condensed milk - 1 tin
ghee - 250 g
cashew nuts - 100 g, chopped
raisins - 50 g
nutmeg - � tsp, grated
