Spicy chutney

Method
  1. Chop onion and tomato into fine pieces.
  2. Heat oil, temper urad dal
  3. Fry the onion till it turns a little brown and add garlic, pepper, green chilli and red chilli.
  4. Add tomato and fry for 3 minutes.
  5. Add tamarind, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  6. Add salt and fry well for another 2 minutes.
  7. Cool and grind the mixture into a fine paste.
  8. Heat a little oil and fry the mixture for 2 minutes.
  9. Now it is ready to serve with dosa, chappathi or plain hot rice.
Ingredients:
2 - onions
2 - tomatoes
9 pods - garlic
1/2 tsp - pepper
3 to 4 - green chilli
2 nos - red chilli
Curry leaves, a little
1 cup - coriander leaves
1/2 tsp - urad dal
Tamarind, one small lemon size
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
