Method
Clean rice and yellow moong dal.
Keep aside for 5 min.
Add 2 cups of water for rice & 1/2 cup of water for yellow moong dal and cook these two separately in 2 vessels in a pressure cooker upto 3 whistles.
In a pan, add jaggery and some water & heat it till the jaggery melts.
Boil milk & keep aside to cool.
In the jaggery pan, add cooked rice & yellow moong dal.
Reduce flame, mix ghee and stir
Now add cardamom & roasted cashew nuts to it.
Finally add milk a for rich taste.
Hot and delicious Sakkarai Pongal is ready to eat.
