Horsegram vada

Method
  1. Soak the Horse gram in enough water for about 5 - 6 hrs.
  2. Without adding any water grind them with red chillies.
  3. Make a coarse paste (not very smooth).
  4. Chop onions finely; mix them with this paste along with salt.
  5. Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan. Press as vadas and deep fry them.
  6. Drain on a kitchen towel and serve them with coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
