Rangi curry

Method
  1. Soak moong dal in water for about 5-6 hours.
  2. Grind it to a fine paste with coriander seeds, onions, green chillies and salt.
  3. Flatten and steam cook the batter.
  4. When it is cool, cut into cubes.
  5. Fry the chopped onions, coriander seeds, red chillies and coconut and grind it into a fine paste.
  6. Fry the paste in oil.
  7. Add salt to taste and enough water to make a gravy.
  8. When oil is separated from the masala, add the dal cubes and cook on a low fire.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Ingredients:
2 cups moong dal
2 tsp coriander seeds
4 onions (chopped finely)
5 green chillies, chopped
½ bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
Salt to taste

For the gravy:
6 onions, chopped finely
1 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp. coriander seeds
5 red chillies
Salt to taste
Oil as required
