  1. Knead a stiff dough with flour, ghee and water, adding salt.
  2. Mix rice flour and ghee. Reserve.
  3. Roll out nine thin chapattis of the dough. Make sets
  4. of 3 each thus: Put once chapatti flat on a board.
  5. Smear with rice and ghee mixture. Repeat so that there are three sets of three each.
  6. Roll each set. Cut into slices 1 cm wide.
  7. Roll out each slice again to a 5 cm. disc, keeping the cut side on top.
  8. Fry five to six discs at a time till golden.
  9. Drain on absorbent paper.
  10. Sprinkle with sugar and cardamom powder.
2 cups flour (maida)
2 tbsp. ghee
A pinch of salt
2 tbsp. rice flour
2 tbsp. ghee, melted
1/2 cup ground sugar
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
Ghee for frying
