Walnut sponge cake

Method
  1. Beat the eggs, sugar and butter together in a mixer/blender.
  2. Pour this mix into a bowl large enough for making the cake batter.
  3. Add cake flour/ all purpose flour to this batter and mix well to avoid any lumps.
  4. Add vanilla essence and baking powder to this batter
  5. Add chopped walnuts and mix lightly.
  6. Pour this batter into a well-greased pan and level the batter evenly.
  7. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 30 mins (check the top of the cake at regular intervals for browning on top depending on the temperature of your oven)
  8. Turn the oven off after 30 mins and let the cake remain in the oven.
  9. Take the cake out after 10-15 mins and let it cool for 45 mins.
  10. Cut the cake and serve warm.

6 eggs
3 cups cake flour/all purpose flour
2-3 cups sugar
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp baking powder
Chopped walnuts
1/2 tbsp milk
