Mango Salad (mangaperukku)

  1. Cut the raw mango into very small pieces.
  2. Grind the coconut, chillies and mustard in to a smooth paste adding the curd.
  3. Put salt into the cut mango.
  4. Pour the paste into the cut mango pieces. mix well.
  5. The salad is ready.
  6. You can garnish it with curry leaves.
  7. This is a very good side dish with rice and healthy too.

Some points to be noted are:

  1. To make it more spicy you can add more chillies.
  2. Do not take too much mustard, it makes the curry bitter.
  3. Use less sour curd.
  4. If the curd is very sour you may add milk to reduce the sourness.
  5. The same can be made using other vegetables like tomato, bitter gourd, cucumber etc.
1 big - raw mango
3-4 - red chillies
1 tsp - mustard
5 tbsp - curd
Salt to taste
