Dry Fruit Log

Method
  1. In a heavy bottom kadai, pour the milk and allow it to boil for 10 to 15 minutes or till it reduces from its quantity.
  2. When it gets thickened, add 50 gms of sugar and stir little more. Keep it aside.
  3. In a oven proof bowl mix all the ingredients (for making the cake).
  4. Prepare a cake batter with the help of aerated soda and halfly thickened milk and pre-heat the oven to 200*C.
  5. Bake the cake for 15 to 20 minutes or until it gets golden brown in colour. Keep it aside.
  6. Now let us see how to make the stuffing.
  7. Take a kadai and pour 1/2 ltr low fat milk and allow it boil for 10 to 15 minutes or until it gets thickened.
  8. When it starts thicken, add the chopped dry fruits and stir further for 5 minutes and allow it cool.
  9. Now on a kitchen table, take a grease proof paper (Butter paper) and apply 2 to 3 tsp of goa and spread it neatly.
  10. On the top of it keep the plain cake base.
  11. And again on the top of this cake apply 2 tsp of fruit mixture.
  12. Now gently roll the butter paper and keep it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  13. Remove the butter paper and cut the cake into slices. Taste it.
Ingredients:
For making goa:
low fat milk - 1 lit
sugar - 50 gms
For making plain cake base:
maida - 1/2 cup
soya flour - 1/4 cup
low fat milk (halfly reduced) - 1/2 cup
baking powder - 1/4 tsp
cooking soda - 1/4 tsp
sugar - 3 tbs
vanilla essance - 1/4 tsp
aerated soda - 200 ml
For stuffing:
low fat milk - 1/2 ltr
raisins - 1 tbs
cherry fruit (chopped) - 1 tbs
tuity fruity - 1 tbs
fig (chopped) - 1 tbs
