Jelly Slices

Method
1st layer :
  1. Crush biscuits.
  2. Melt butter and mix in biscuit crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into the base of a rectangular tin.
  4. Freeze for 20 mins.
2st layer :
  1. Dissolve gelatine in ½ cup of hot water.
  2. Pour in condensed milk and add lemon juice.
  3. Pour this over biscuit layer and cool till gelatine is set.
3st layer :
  1. Dissolve jelly crystals in 450 ml. of hot water.
  2. Cool. Pour over 2nd layer.
  3. Freeze till well set.
  4. Cut into pieces.
  5. Top with whipped cream and / or chopped nuts and serve.
Serves 12 pieces
Ingredients:
1 tin condensed milk
100 gms. butter
200 gms. biscuits
100 gms. jelly (preferably red in colour)
1 tbsp. gelatine
1 tbsp. lemon juice
¼ cup cream (optional)
2 tbsp. chopped nuts (optional)
