  1. Cook the rice
  2. Add milk boil till milk reduces to 1/2
  3. Add powdered jaggery and stir well
  4. Let it boil till payasam thickens
  5. Add cardamom powder and raisins
  6. Stir the payasam
  7. Serve hot or cold

Makes: 4 servings
Sheflife: Best fresh

1 litre milk
1 cup brown broken rice
1 cup jaggery
1/4 tsp. cardamom powder
15-20 raisins
