Lemon oats

Method
  1. Heat a pan with oil and temper the items as in order.
  2. Fry till the mustard splutter in medium flame.
  3. Add the water,turmeric powder and squeeze the lemon,mix the salt. Bring to boil.
  4. Add the oats and mix well.Cook covered for 3 minutes in medium low flame.
  5. Serve hot, you can top with sesame oil if you want.

Ingredients:
1 cup - quick cook oats
1 - lemon
1/8 tsp - turmeric powder
Salt as needed
1 & 1/4 cups - water

To Temper:
1-2 tbsp - sesame oil
3/4 tsp - mustard
1 tsp - urad dal
1 tsp - channa dal
Ground nut (optional), a few
1 sprig - curry leaves
1/8 tsp - asafoetida
2-3 - red chilli or green chilli
