Pineapple Sabji

Method
  1. Peel the pineapple and cut into small pieces. (The core may also be used)
  2. Grind all the ingredients from chili powder to cardamoms to a fine paste.
  3. Heat ghee or oil. Fry the ground paste till fragrant.
  4. Add the pineapple pieces and salt to taste.
  5. Add about 1-11/2 cup of water.
  6. Cover and simmer till the pineapple is soft and the gravy is creamy.
  7. Serve hot with chapathis.
Ingredients:
Use a pineapple which is not fully ripe
pineapple - 1, medium size
chili powder - 1 tsp
ginger - 1 tsp, chopped
turmeric powder - tsp
grated coconut - cup
coriander powder - 2 tsp
cinnamon - 2" piece
cardamom - 2
ghee or oil - 2 tbsp
salt to taste
