Moong Dal Waffle

Method
  1. Wash, drain moong dal
  2. Grind soaked moong dal, ginger and green chillies
  3. Add all other ingredients and make a thick batter.
  4. Add little more rava is batter is not thick
  5. Heat waffle iron, pour 1 ladleful of mixture in centre.
  6. Close and allow to cook till done.
  7. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup

Note : In absence of a waffle iron, use the tawa or griddle for making dosas or a non-stick pan, to make Pancakes of same batter.

Making Time : 30 minutes (excluding soaking time)
Makes : 9-10 waffles
Shelf Life : Best fresh (ground moong dal may be refrigerated for 6-7 hours)

Ingredients:
1 cup moong dal (split green gram dal) (wash and soak for 1 hours)
1 tbsp. Rava (semolina)
1 cup grated doodhi (bottle gourd)
4-5 Green chillies
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1? Piece ginger grated
1/4 tsp. Soda bicarb
1 tbsp. Oil
Salt to taste
