Method

  1. Dry roast urad daal until nice aroma comes out and they turn brownish

  2. Pressure cook with 2 cups water upto 4 whistles

  3. Mash the cooked daal to form a paste

  4. In a flat vessel, take 4 cups rice flour. Add red chill powder,jeera,salt (and melted butter if you like).

  5. Add the flour paste and mix everything. Add some more water if desired and make a soft dough

  6. Make murukkus with (Muruku making device)chakli and deep fry in oil

Ingredients:
1 cup Urad daal
4 cups rice flour
2 tsp jeera
1 tsp red chili powder
salt to taste
Oil for frying
