Method

  1. Soak rice for 15 minutes in water.

  2. Boil it with all of the milk. Keep stirring till it cooks. (this is very important. Ensure that the rice cooks fully)

  3. Add a little saffron

  4. Add Kalkand and Sugar

  5. Add a little ghee after sugar and kalkhand have dissolved.

  6. After it thickens remove from stove and add cashew and rasins (fried in ghee)

  7. Add cardamom

The delicious Kshrirannam is ready. Hope this works for you.

100 gm Rice
2 litres Milk
100 gm Kalkandh (Kalsakray)
250 gm Sugar
100 gm Ghee
Cashewnut, Rasins
Saffron, Cardamom (powder)
