Mushroom Pulao

Method
  1. Heat ghee in a large, flat-bottomed, microwave-safe dish at 100% power for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the onions and garlic. Continue to cook to the same power level for 4 minutes.
  3. Add the salt, pepper, milk and rice with the water in which it has been soaking.
  4. Microwave uncovered at 100% power for 15 minutes or till the rice has steamy holes on top.
  5. Reduce power to 60% and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Stand 5 minutes before serving.
Ingredients:
2 cups - rice, picked, washed and soaked in 2 � cups water
1 packet - mushrooms (washed and sliced lengthwise)
5 - green onions, chopped (retain plenty of the green stem)
6 cloves - garlic, crushed
� cup - milk
3 tbsp - ghee
salt and pepper to taste
