Method
  1. Soak rice and dhal together for 3hrs.
  2. Grind them finely in grinder/mixie with less water.
  3. Batter should be like dosa batter.
  4. In a kadai with a small spoon pour the dough into the pan.
  5. When the paniyaram starts coming up sprinkle hot oil on it from the kadai. It will puff like poori.
  6. Now turn to the next side.
  7. Leave it for few seconds and take it from oil and place it in kitchen tissue.
  8. Tomato chutney best side dish for vellai paniyaram.
Ingredients:
1 cup - raw rice
2 tbsp - urad dhal
2 cups - oil
salt to taste
