Badam peda

Method
  1. Soak almonds in warm water for half an hour and peel the skin.
  2. Blend it to a fine paste with a little milk.
  3. Add sugar and milk powder and blend the paste again.
  4. Heat ghee in a non stick wok / pan.
  5. Add almond paste and cook on medium heat.
  6. Continue stirring in between.
  7. Cook this mixture till it turns a thick consistency.
  8. Add cardamom pwd, food color and mix well.
  9. Keep stirring until the mixture starts leaving sides of pan.
  10. Now remove pan from heat.
  11. Whip the batter using a spatula in circular motion for about 2 – 3 minutes.
  12. Allow it to cool.
  13. Grease your palms and shape the mixture into small balls.
  14. Flatten it and press gently in the middle to make a small dent.
  15. Decorate pedas with grated pistachios, almond and cashewnuts.
  16. Enjoy the delicious taste of all time favorite home made almond peda.

4 tbsp - ghee
Cardamom powder, a generous pinch
Food color - a pinch
Grated pistachios, cashew, almond - for garnishing
