Chana Dal Laddoo

Method
  1. Soak the chana dal in water for five to six hours.
  2. Drain wash and grind to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat ghee in a kadai and roast the dal on low heat.
  4. When the dal mixture leaves the sides and an aroma arises, remove from heat.
  5. In another pan, roast khoya on low heat till light golden.
  6. In 1 tsp ghee, fry the melon seeds and chopped pistachios.
  7. Mix sugar and all the ingredients together with hand so that it is well mixed.
  8. Now the mixture is ready for making ladoos (modaks).
  9. Take lemon-sized ball of the mixture and shape into laddoos.
Ingredients:
2 cups - chana dal
200 g - khoya
1 tsp - cardamom powder
2 tbsp - melon seeds, peeled
2 cups - powdered sugar or to taste 100g - desi ghee
2 tbsp - chopped pistachios
