Baked onion pakoda

Method
  1. Mix together besan, onion, cilantro, green chillies, baking powder, butter and salt to make a thick batter.
  2. Add a little water if needed. Keep aside.
  3. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  4. Take small portions of the pakoda batter and arrange them on the cookie sheet in a manner that they don`t touch each other.
  5. Preheat the oven at 400 F.
  6. Then place the cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the pakodas turn golden brown in color.
  7. The yummy pakodas are ready.
  8. But, be careful as the cookie sheet will be hot.
  9. Leave the sheet aside for some time until it gets warm enough to handle.
  10. Later transfer the pakodas to a serving plate and enjoy with ketchup or any other dip.

Ingredients:
1 cup chickpea flour/besan
1 small onion, chopped fine
Some cilantro leaves, finely chopped
2 small green chillies, chopped fine
3/4 tsp baking powder (can be replaced with 1/4 tsp baking soda)
2 tbsp butter, melted (can be replaced with 1 or 2 tbsp olive oil)
Salt as required
