Method
- Microwave or steam stringbeans till soft but firm to bite.
- Heat butter in a pan, add asafetida, salt, sugar, ginger and garlic, sauté till transparent.
- Add all other ingredients and beans, except cheese.
- Stir fry till excess moisture evaporates.
- Take off fire, cool slightly, fold in cheese.
- Butter each slice sparingly one both sides.
- Put spoonful of prepared veggie between two slices.
- Toast in an stove top toaster or grill.
- Toast till crisp and golden, cut into two triangles.
- Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
Note:
One may use the jain sabzi to make jain chawli sandwich.

8 slices - fresh bread
250 g - stringbeans, chopped
1 - onion, finely chopped
1 - small potato, finely chopped
2 to 3 pinches - asafetida powder
2 to 3 pinches - turmeric powder
2 to 3 flakes - garlic, crushed
1” piece - ginger, grated
1 tsp - soya sauce
1 tsp - red chilli sauce
2 pinchew - sugar
1 tbsp - butter
2 tbsp - cheese
salt to taste
