Chawli Sandwiches

Method
  1. Microwave or steam stringbeans till soft but firm to bite.
  2. Heat butter in a pan, add asafetida, salt, sugar, ginger and garlic, sauté till transparent.
  3. Add all other ingredients and beans, except cheese.
  4. Stir fry till excess moisture evaporates.
  5. Take off fire, cool slightly, fold in cheese.
  6. Butter each slice sparingly one both sides.
  7. Put spoonful of prepared veggie between two slices.
  8. Toast in an stove top toaster or grill.
  9. Toast till crisp and golden, cut into two triangles.
  10. Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.

Note:
One may use the jain sabzi to make jain chawli sandwich.

Ingredients:
8 slices - fresh bread
250 g - stringbeans, chopped
1 - onion, finely chopped
1 - small potato, finely chopped
2 to 3 pinches - asafetida powder
2 to 3 pinches - turmeric powder
2 to 3 flakes - garlic, crushed
1” piece - ginger, grated
1 tsp - soya sauce
1 tsp - red chilli sauce
2 pinchew - sugar
1 tbsp - butter
2 tbsp - cheese
salt to taste
