Mushroom do pyaza

Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the ground onion paste and ginger garlic saute it till it alightly browns.
  2. Now add the onions and saute till browned.
  3. Grind the tomatoes to a paste and add it.
  4. Mix well and saute until raw smell of tomatoes leave.
  5. Add chilli,turmeric, garam masala and corianders masala powders.
  6. Mix well and saute till it is dry.
  7. Now add the cleaned mushroom, saute till for few minutes.
  8. The mushroom gives out water, now add required water at this stage.
  9. Keep closed and cook until mushroom turns soft.
  10. Add cream, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and switch off.
  11. It is apt with roti, naan or hot steamed rice and dhal.

Notes: You can skip cream and add 2 tsp milk too.

Ingredients:
1 cup - cleaned mushroom
2 cups - onions, chopped lengthwise (grind 1/4 cup onions to a fine paste)
2 - tomatoes
1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
Turmeric powder, a generous pinch
1/2 tsp - coriander powder
3/4 tsp - chilli powder
1 tsp - garam masala powder
1 tbsp - fresh cream
2 tsp - coriander leaves
2 tbsp - oil
Salt, as required
