Method
- Wash the spinach leaves and set aside.
- Mix the chickpea flour, rice flour, salt, carom seeds, red chilli powder and cooking soda in a bowl.
- Add enough water to make a batter of medium consistency and set aside.
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Dip each spinach leaf in the batter and deep fry till golden brown in colour on both sides.
- Remove from oil and serve hot with tomato sauce or chutney.
