Quick Rice Pulihora

Method
  1. Cook 1 cup basmati or sona masori or any other rice and keep aside.Left over rice can also be used.
  2. In a frying pan put oil and when the oil is warm add hing,turmuric,red chilli pieces,green chillies,urad dal,channa dal,jeera seeds,mustard seeds,curry leaves,cashew/peanuts and let the mustard splutter.
  3. Add the hot mixture to the cooked rice.Add salt and 2 tsp of lemon juice.
  4. Mix the ingrediants with the rice thoroughly and serve hot.Its great by itself,no need of a side dish.
  5. But if you want one, a cup of yoghurt (dahi) is good.
Ingredients:
rice-1 cup
oil-2 tsp
hing- a pinch
mustard seeds-1 tsp
jeera (cumin) - 1 tsp
red chillies- 3
green chillies split into half-2
turmuric - 1/2 tsp
urad dal-1 tsp
channa dal-1 tsp
lemon juice - 2tsp
cashew or peanuts (optional)-1 tsp
curry leaves and coriander chopped for garnishing
salt as per taste
